Updated Front Cover Draft
After receiving feedback from my teachers, I have been working on improving my front cover draft as I believe the first draft was not up to the standard I will be happy with for my final piece. I have looked back through my research and planning posts on my blog and also took inspiration from other sources and have produced an updated version. For this version I have made many alterations including the photos, colour scheme masthead positioning and size, coverlines and other minor alterations. I think the front cover and double page spread were the pages that needed the most adjustments so I am concentrating on these two pages primarily then will improve the contents page accordingly.

First Contents Page Draft
This is my first draft of a contents page for my final magazine. I have tried to incorporate a simplistic feel into this contents page through the use of a lot of neutral space and crisp, bold and neutral fonts. I have opted for a colour palette of grey, blue and black as the grey background colour allows for easy readability of the black and blue text and the images of the cover also stand out well. For this first, rough, draft I have used pictures that I haven't taken and that I have found on the internet. For my final draft and final magazine I shall obviously substitute these images for ones I have taken and take inspiration from the images I have used here.

First Front Cover Draft
For this draft, I have chosen a blue, white and black colour scheme and a black and white image. I feel this front cover is quite simplistic with little cover lines and a lot of neutral space such as to the right of the artist's head which gives a minimalistic feel to the front cover. The image I have used is not one of my own as I have not yet been able to take any test shots however I like the style and feel of this image. I am not completely happy with this front cover and it is only a draft, I want to improve this drastically, if not completely change this, for my final version. For my final version, I would obviously substitute the images and all text related to Foals, a pre-existing band that fits my chosen genre, to images and text relating to the band I will create.
